The District Chief Executive for Atiwa West District Assembly, Hon. Amo Johnson Anom has on behalf of the Agric Department taken delivery of 10,000 birds under the Nkoko Nketenkete initiative.
The birds expected to be distributed to farmers across the district in 4- weeks’ time forms part of the government’s flagship programme Feed Ghana.
Receiving the birds the DCE, commended the government and for that matter the President His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his campaign promise to the people of Ghana.
He said the rollout of the initiative in the district marks a significant step towards strengthening the local value chain, creating jobs, and improving livelihoods, especially among youth and women engaged in agribusiness and therefore called on the people in the district to take the programme seriously.
