As part of collective efforts to promote cleanliness, public health, and environmental sustainability, and in support of President John Dramani Mahama’s Special National Sanitation Day initiative, the Atiwa West District Assembly held a clean-up exercise in the District on Friday, 10th July 2026.
The exercise, which lasted about ten hours, saw choked gutters desilted, overgrown weeds cleared, and the surrounding environment swept clean, ridding the District of filth.
Led by the District Environmental Health Analyst, Mr. Rockson Amankwah, the initiative drew participation from staff of the Assembly as well as officers from the Ambulance Service, the Police Service, the Fire Service and the Immigration Service.
